Call to Order - The meeting was called to order by Barry at 7:05 PM Ontario Time. 2. Agenda - The Agenda was approved, pending changes as we get inspired. 3. Minutes - approved 4. Financial Statements: We're doing quite all right, enough bucks for a couple newsletters, FMOK was under budget and has contributed $1100 to CSIRP. Victoria would like to devote it to website work. 5. Membership stats: our database has 61 members, some of whom are in arrears. 6. Newsletter: collecting articles and hope to wrap it this week. 7. Current Projects a) Full Moon Over Killaloe - was wonderful; the new location worked very well; Funding has already been approved for next year. b) Website. We now have lots of space and access to RealAudio streaming, mostly donated by Victoria and Barry. We have room to develop lots of new material. c) Government Lobbying - hasn't been followed up as promised. Dave still plans to chase Robert Rabinovich re CBC Documentary committee. It has been suggested by our MP that we should try something from a multicultural focus. 8. Future Projects a) Dave - We should look at a project related to youth and multiculturalism. He has received a letter from Lloyd Axworthy making reference to "university radio". We should expand beyond just programming projects. b) Chris - Heritage is doing a consultation re Arts Policy. Chris is going. Victoria will send up some "Radiant Dissonance" sets. c) Dave is producing a "Climate Watch" series of 400 60 second pieces for commercial radio. d) Time for group members to do a group discussion about the many funding sources. This could also generate something to be presented to government people. e) Victoria - i) Trillium Grant creative radio proposal will be submitted soon. ii) Canada Council outreach to bring artists together to talk audience development just before the National Campus/Community Radio Conference. f) An Ontario regional gathering is being planned for November in Hamilton. Victoria and Andy are coordinating this. g) Victoria wants to establish a CoolEdit users group. 9. AGM - all notices and Board elections to be done by November 30th. Details to be included with next member mailing. 10. Other Business Adjourned 7:54 PM Ontario Time. Next meeting will happen telephonically on Thursday October 19, 2000, 6PM Manitoba time.
