Call to Order - The meeting was called to order by Barry at 8:15 PM Ontario Time, 7:15 P.M. Manitoba Time. John and Dave were not where they claimed to be. The Phone Gods were not with us. 2. Agenda - The Agenda was developed as we proceeded. 3. Financial Statement: "John Crow is Good, John Crow is Great, We Thank Him For Our Cash" (Andy). There is still about $930.00 in the CSIRP Bank Account. 4. Current Activities a) Application is into Canada Council for "Full Moon over Killaloe". Also an application is into the Ontario Arts Council. b) VF suggest we look at Trillium Foundation money for Community Radio skills development including Sports Broadcasting (Hamilton), Drama (Toronto), Documentary, Current Affairs (Windsor or Peterborough), Art (Killaloe and Ottawa). Finding Money For Radio Production And Distribution. Special Event Radio? Applications due January or February. c) VF - SOCAN - Factor? Factor has pulled all radio funding. Must lobby Canadian Heritage. d) Voluntary Action Online - very interested in an Internet sound file project. Victoria feels that one day she should get serious about working on grants...... 5. Newsletter - Done. Printed. Mailed to 150 stations. $400 for this issue. We have about 14 paid members. 6. Members and New Members - 14 paid! A list will be posted soon. 7. Website - Barry added all of the real good Community Radio Stuff, and will be posting it when he figures out John Hall's cryptic password. Board trust John H. and Barry to make it beautiful. John M. likes Lynx and hates graphics. Barry's pages for now, and John H. can encourage everyone to offer input and sweat equity. 8. Corporate Status - Pending 9. The meeting was allowed to adjourn about 8:53 pm. Next meeting will happen telephonically on February 4, 1999. All paid up members should try real hard to be on-line.
