Minutes recorded by Barry.

1.   Call to Order - The meeting was called to order by Barry at 
8:01 PM Ontario Time, 7 P.M. Manitoba Time.

2.   Agenda - The Agenda was developed as we proceeded.

3.   Financial Statement: "Scrooge is a genius"  (Andy)
There is still about $730.00 in the CSIRP Bank Account.

4.   Corporate Status - Our incorporation is stalled because our 
original contact at Industry  Canada lost the file.  There is no new 
ETA from Bill the lawyer.

5.   Newsletter - Liam has returned from the hinterlands after an 
electronic meltdown. VF suggests that we all leap in and help him 
to wrap it up for January. VF suggests that Barry work with Liam to 
get the sucker done.

6.   Website - John Hall's suggestions are that we either blitz 
together a quick site, and plan later, or do intensive planning at the 
start.  The Board determined that we will blitz first.

7.   Current Activities 

Application is into Canada Council for "Full Moon over Killaloe".  
Also an application is into the Ontario Arts Council.  Also an 
application into Ottawa Region for more relatedaudio art.  Canada 
Council announcements are in March, and Karen Tisch liked it, so 
we feel hopeful. JM - can we hire a student to work on it over the 
summer in Killaloe?

8.   Future Projects -

a) VF suggest we look at Trillium Foundation money for 
Community Radio skills development.  She and Andy are thinking 
of a series of workshops throughout the province possibly including 
Sports Broadcasting, Drama, Documentary, Newsmagazines.     
Application not due til January or February.

b) Audio Art compilation - VF is thinking of applying to Canada 
Council for funding.  JM suggests a documentary format.  
Discussion revolved around long vs. short formats

9.   The meeting was allowed to adjourn about 8:30 pm - slowly, 
but deliberately, til it faded into general conversation and holiday 
planning.

A CSIRP Seasonal soiree will be held in Ottawa Monday 
December 28th, time and placeTBD.

Next meeting will happen telephonically on January 7, 1999.
