CSIRP Board Meeting 

Tuesday April 3, 2001 at 8PM EDT

AGENDA  

1) Approval of Agenda  

2) Approval of Previous Minutes  - approved. Suggestion that 
Minutes be distributed to the membership list after being reviewed 
by the Board. 

3) Treasurer's Report and Financial Statement  - "I cannot afford to 
waste my time making money".  Balance in bank $19,563.56.  
Victoria estimates that we have roughly $3000 in general operating 
funds available. The balance is allocated to other projects. 

4) Appointment of new Treasurer - VF/HM nominate Douglas. He 
accepts. Doug will check out banking options and respond to us. 

5) Membership Report  - It is time to send out renewal notices 
once we send the database to Hal Doran, our new membership 
secretary.  There are 62 members in the database, including new 
members from New York and Britain. 

6) Newsletter Report  - We will do a reprint of the last issue to be 
distributed to NCRC in Ottawa. The next issue should be ready at 
the end of summer. 

7) Current Projects  

a)  Full Moon Over Killaloe - Is almost sold out, and planning is 
proceeding.   

b)  Sound Unbound audio art symposium - will take place early 
June 11th, Ottawa. Concurrently with NCRC.  More details will be 
available soon. 

c)  Creative Radio Initiative (funded by Trillium Foundation). Funding 
is approved pending written notification. This is a three year project 
which aims to train community radio broadcasters in audio art, 
radio drama, documentary production, and other creative forms. 
Administrative Details will be sorted out in the next couple of 
weeks.  

7) Future Projects  

a) Career Initiatives in Culture - we will be assembling an 
application in the next week. 
It will fit nicely with the Trillium project. 
 
8) Other Business   - Heather would like CSIRP to provide a letter 
of reference for the
FTAA Press Accreditation.  We will ask Hal to do it.

9) Next Meeting 
   
a) Date - Monday April 30th 8PM, with the first Monday of the first 
week of each
(alternate) month thereafter.
