CSIRP Membership Rights and Privileges

We'd love to have you as a member of the Canadian Society for Independent Radio Production. Your membership shows that you believe RADIO is important... and that radio producers and sound artists of all description need an organization to help us develop our craft/art.

Whatever your level of skill -- seasoned veteran, beginner or somewhere in the middle, your contributions are welcome at CSIRP. Even if you're not a producer, you can join. Your contribution will demonstrate that you want our airwaves to be creative and dynamic spaces for dialogue and cultural expression.

And though most of our members are Canadian, you don't have to live in "The True North Strong and Free" to join. Members from around the globe are welcome -- after all, airwaves don't stop at the border.

As a member, you are entitled to:

a subscription to our quarterly newsletter "Wavelength"
discounts at CSIRP workshops, conferences and symposia
your bio posted on the CSIRP web site
subscription to the CSIRP members only list-serve
invitation to CSIRP member events (these are informal at this point and usually consist of getting together for a beer. More of these will evolve as the membership develops.)
a great way to talk shop without boring your non-radio friends and partners
a say in how CSIRP develops through a vote at the AGM, nomination and election to the Board of Directors

Membership Categories

CSIRP is a producer-based organization. Full membership (voting membership) is limited to individuals.

Groups and Organizations may also join as Associate Members. Associate members have all rights and privileges of regular members, except the right to vote and hold office on the Board as a representative of their organization (however, any individual affiliated with any group may hold office as an individual -- the only difference is that they are representing themselves, rather than the organization they work for...)

Regular Membership - (Individuals) - $35/year or $50/ 2 years

Student Membership - $20/year or $30/ two years

Organizational (Associate Membership) - $100/year or $150/ two years

Organizational members are entitled to three members from their organization on the CSIRP list-serve, three copies of Wavelength, and three registrations at the member discount rate for CSIRP events and workshops.

U.S and abroad memberships should be paid in U.S. dollars.
